BRS on Tour: Cadbury Marathon Lead Up

20 Week Plan (Starting Monday 24th)

By now those of you who are planning on doing the Cadbury Marathon on Januaary 10th 2016 should have some resemblance of a decent running base behind you.  We are going to asume you are up to a 20km long run.
Now it gets real!
You should be increasing your long runs at least 1km per week ( some weeks need to be a 2km increase) to get to a long run of approximately 38km.
We have put together a list of races and run-abouts that we are recommending you attempt in order to break down this rather daunting challenge.

20th September
Twilight Bay Run
21km

24th October
Run-About (a run-about is a run where the main achievement is to acomplish the distance.  Time doesn't matter)
30km.  Jim Soorley Bike Path, starting at Toombul, ending in Woody Point.

13th - 15th November
Tour De Tambourine
8km Trail, 16km Trail, Half Marathon.
We would reccomend the 8.5km Trail run on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday.

13th December
Gold Coast 50
Kurrawa 2 Duranbah 15km, 30km, 50km
We would reccomend 30km

19th December
Run-About
38km - 42km.  Jim Soorley Bike Path, starting at Toombul, ending somewhere on the Peninsula.

If anyone has any questions or needs guidance as to the Km's they should be attempting leading up to the Marathon, please send us an email or speak to us at training.

Plus, as an added bonus, HERE is Renae's 20 Week Plan.  Remember this is a suggested guide to your weekly long run.  During the week should include regular attendance at BRS sessions.  Everyone will have different goals and abilities, run to your own individual capacity.
