Wraps Ups, Weekend, BRS downtime...

Mt Tamborine Wrap UP!

What a weekend!!
Saturday.....well as you can see below, it started muddy! from when we all arrived at 5am to the Mountain the rain was relentless. In true spirit, our 8 trail runners took to the wet track, conquering the 8 or 15km run. They braved hills, and plenty of them! slipping, sliding, but finishing all with smiles on their faces!

MASSIVE Well done to Hannah for coming in 8th overall and 1st female in the 15km event. Matt was in his element coming 13th in his category. Keeters came in 5th overall too in the 8.5km event!!

Great work to our muddy crew (who were also caught rinsing themselves in a drain!!)

Sunday
On Sunday we had even more BRSers taking part! Keeters in the 100km cycle (that finished with a 10km mountain climb!), Gill, Jan, Matt and Arn in the 25km cycle, Dom, Vicki, Natalie, Gemma, Renae, and Karen completed the 10km and Leandra, Will, Sean and Andrew tackled the 21km event. WOW what a scenic run. One of the best events I have done in a while. Quite tree lined streets, constant corners, hills, and clean air!
It was a pleasure to run and the event was quite well organised. I will definitely be back!!

It was wonderful staying up there for the weekend....and even better that a few others did too so we could catch up for some beer tasting at the local brewery on Saturday afternoon :-)

BRS Ho Ho Ho Homicide & Annual Awards

MASSIVE thanks to all who attended and the amount of effort that went into their costumes.
and HUGE thank-you to Matt too as if you saw the organisation that went behind it......you would be amazed he pulled it off!

There was certainly intrigue, bribery, lies, excitement and of course murder!!
Our Murder Mystery prizes were sooooo hard! but the elves, reindeer, and claus family voted:
Best Performance - Jingle (the victim, Pete C), closely followed by Blinky (Sam C)
Best Dressed - Blitzen (Michele Wh), closely followed by Mrs Claus (Renae)
