Wrap Up & Time Trial

Core Session
Last Sunday 8 February we held our first core strength session designed specifically for runners. After a morning of rain, it held off just long enough to finish the hour session and head for coffee. Well done to those that dragged themselves out of bed on a rainy Sunday morning.

The next session is:
When: Saturday 7th March
Where: New Farm Park (next to the Rotunda)
Time: 7am - 8am
What to bring: a water bottle and towel
What ability: we will cater for all abilities and strengths
Cost: $8 members, $10 non-members

Stair Challenge Results
Your stair challenge results have been added under Time Trials on the website. We will do the stair challenge once every 3 months as an indication to you of your improving strength and endurance. Great first effort!

Time Trial Monday 22 February
To enable you to prepare accordingly (sleep, nutrition, mentally,) this is a heads up that next Monday night 22 February is a 5km time trial. Our last time trial was 21 December (results on website). This will be a good opportunity to see how you are travelling towards your up and coming goals.

This Week
Great to see some new faces along tonight. On a hot, humid, summer night everbody had a great session. Well done.

Matt and I are having a few days of leave, so Mark Turner from Brisbane Triathlon Squad will be taking the session on Wednesday night - 17 Feb, ENJOY!

We will see you next Monday night 22 February.

Happy Running

CLEM 7 10km Tunnel Run
Those of you who registered late last year for the tunnel run, should have received your link to enter the Clem 7 Tunnel run, now scheduled for Sunday 28 February.
If you are interested in registering, click here
https://secure.imworkingwonders.com.au/registrant/LoginRegister.aspx?EventID=10041&LangPref=en-CA

BRS will not be entering a team as we have the Twilight Run 3 weeks after. Of course, feel free to enter the Clem 7 event as an individual, yes a once in a life time opportunity to run in a tunnel with 5000 other Brisbanites, a great experience! If you are doing the Twilight 10km or 21km, please treat the Clem 7 as a training run to get distance in your legs, as opposed to a race. Save your PBs and your legs for the Twilight run.
